With heavy hearts, family, friends, and members of the Virginia Beach community are mourning the loss of Jerry G. Griggs, 45, of Virginia Beach, who tragically lost his life following a single-vehicle crash on Laskin Road.
Jerry’s unexpected passing has left loved ones devastated as they remember a man whose life was valued by his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred during the early morning hours of July 26, 2026. At approximately 1:36 a.m., Emergency Communications and Citizens Services received a report of a single-vehicle collision in the 1200 block of Laskin Road.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and worked to provide assistance following the serious crash. Despite efforts, Jerry suffered fatal injuries and sadly could not be saved.
Authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision as they work to determine what caused the vehicle crash.
