An 18-year-old Ohio woman and two men are facing homicide charges after authorities say a dispute over household cleaning duties escalated into a deadly shooting at a Delaware County home.

According to court documents, Bryanna Dutcher was involved in a physical confrontation with her mother, 55-year-old Tamela Dutcher, over cleaning responsibilities inside their home.

Hours later, investigators say Bryanna discussed the argument with her boyfriend, Christian Evans. Prosecutors allege Evans responded by suggesting that he would have killed Tamela if he had been in Bryanna’s position.

Mother Shot at Delaware County Home

Authorities allege that the dispute later escalated into a planned attack.

On the night of August 14, 2026, Evans and his roommate, Dajameous Payne, allegedly entered the Bean Oller Road residence and shot Tamela Dutcher in the face.

According to prosecutors, Tamela’s husband attempted to intervene and help her. The suspects allegedly fired at him as well, but the shots missed.

Tamela was killed in the attack.

Investigators Recover Deleted Messages

Court documents reportedly indicate that investigators recovered deleted text messages from Bryanna’s phone that prosecutors say showed discussions about the alleged killing.

Bryanna was initially charged with obstructing justice after investigators accused her of providing false information during the investigation.

She has since been charged with homicide alongside Evans and Payne.

The evidence and allegations will be examined through the court process as prosecutors continue building their case.

Three Defendants Face Homicide Charges

Bryanna, Evans and Payne have all appeared in court and were ordered held on high bonds while the case proceeds.

The charges represent serious allegations, and all three defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Tamela Dutcher’s death and determine the roles each defendant allegedly played.

What reportedly began as a family disagreement over household chores has now resulted in the death of a 55-year-old mother and left three young people facing potentially severe criminal consequences.

Further court proceedings are expected to provide additional details about the evidence, allegations and circumstances surrounding the case.
