DALLAS, Texas — Family, friends, classmates, fraternity brothers, and members of the Dallas and Texas A&M communities are mourning the passing of Harrison William Bradford, who died on May 22, 2026, at the age of 20.
Born in Dallas on December 12, 2005, Harrison was remembered by his family as a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend who brought tremendous joy to those around him. He was the son of Steven Dale Bradford and Katrina Marie Posta Bradford and the older brother of Charlton O’Neal Bradford. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Mary Bradford, maternal grandparents John and Patricia Posta, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Remembering Harrison William Bradford
Harrison grew up in Dallas and developed a love of education and reading from an early age. He attended Robert Hyer Elementary, Highland Park Middle School, and Highland Park High School, graduating with honors in May 2024.
His academic accomplishments included membership in the National Honor Society, AP Scholar with Distinction recognition, and Cornerstone Scholar Athlete honors. His family also remembered his remarkable ability to memorize and recite the Gettysburg Address during a school trip to Washington, D.C.
Harrison continued his education at Texas A&M University, where he studied Political Science at the Bush School of Government & Public Service. He had completed his sophomore year and had earned a place on the Dean’s List every semester. Texas A&M later included Harrison among the students honored through its Silver Taps remembrance program.
A Life Filled With Music, Sports, and Service
Beyond academics, Harrison had a wide range of interests. He loved music, developed skills as a pianist, and sang with his school choir. He also participated in cross country, track and field, basketball, soccer, and other athletic activities.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and studying history, particularly military history and World War II. His family recalled his enthusiasm for visiting historical sites and museums and sharing what he had learned with those around him.
Service was another important part of Harrison’s life. He became an Eagle Scout with Troop 82 and completed more than 200 hours of community service during high school. He also participated in the Young Men’s Service League and Young Life, where he formed friendships and sought opportunities to help others.
Remembered for His Kindness
Those who knew Harrison have remembered him as genuine, welcoming, funny, energetic, and deeply committed to the people around him. His family described him as someone who never met a stranger and who would make an effort to include people who were alone or unfamiliar.
At Texas A&M, his relationships with his Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity brothers became an important part of his college experience. He enjoyed attending Aggie sporting events, participating in intramural activities, and hosting Bible studies and gatherings for friends.
His legacy is therefore found not only in his academic accomplishments and activities but also in the relationships he built and the kindness he showed to others.
Funeral and Celebration of Life
A visitation for Harrison was held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas. His Celebration of Life was held the following day, Saturday, May 30, at Preston Road Church of Christ in University Park, followed by a graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations in Harrison’s honor to the Sig Ep Education Foundation to support an education and leadership training facility for the Texas A&M chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Harrison William Bradford’s life ended far too soon, but the memories he created during his 20 years will remain with his family, friends, classmates, fraternity brothers, and community.
He will be remembered for his curiosity, faith, love of learning, athletic spirit, dedication to service, and the warmth he extended to others. His life touched people in many different places, from his hometown of Dallas to his university community at Texas A&M.
