Marana High School Student Found Dead on Campus; Police Investigating
The Marana, Arizona, community is mourning the reported death of a Marana High School student who was found dead on campus early Tuesday morning, September 8, 2026, prompting a police investigation and the cancellation of classes for the day.
According to the Marana Police Department, officers responded to the high school at approximately 6:47 a.m. after school staff discovered an individual on school grounds.
Preliminary information indicated that the individual had entered the campus at approximately 1:30 a.m. before being discovered by staff several hours later. Police subsequently confirmed that the deceased was a student at Marana High School.
