Benjamin Lee Faulk, 36, of New Braunfels, lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run crash on State Highway 172 near La Ward, leaving his family, friends and loved ones mourning a sudden and devastating loss.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Faulk was changing a tire on a travel trailer when he was struck by a passing vehicle.
The impact left Faulk with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 12:56 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle that struck Faulk did not remain at the scene following the collision. Investigators are now working to identify the vehicle and determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly crash.
The hit-and-run has added another layer of heartbreak for Faulk’s loved ones, who are now left grieving his unexpected death while authorities continue their investigation.
