What appeared from the outside to be a quiet family home in Port St. Lucie became the scene of an unimaginable tragedy after police discovered the bodies of Jimsley Estime, 31, and Ketsy Alexis, 30, inside their residence on Southwest Ensenada Terrace.
Investigators believe the couple — husband and wife — died from gunshot wounds in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide. But beyond the crime scene itself, the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding the family have left an entire community shaken.
According to investigators, two of the couple’s young children, only 1 and 2 years old, were still inside the home when the violence unfolded. Hours later, the family’s 6-year-old child reportedly returned home from school and made the devastating discovery no child should ever have to experience.
