Pregnant Pennsylvania Mother, 24, and Her Two Young Children Killed in Devastating Erie Mass Shooting
A heartbreaking tragedy in Erie, Pennsylvania, has claimed the lives of eight victims, including a pregnant mother and her two young children, in a mass shooting that also left the suspected gunman dead. Authorities say the incident occurred on Friday, October 9, 2026, at a residence on Perry Street.
According to the information shared by the family, **Angelina Stone, 24, was eight months pregnant** and preparing to welcome her baby boy, whom she reportedly planned to name Kyrie. Her due date was October 14, just five days after the shooting.
Her two young children, 5-year-old Isaiah Hodges and 1-year-old Amari’anna, were also among those reportedly killed in the tragedy. The loss of a mother and her young children has left loved ones facing an unimaginable heartbreak.
### A Mother Who Was Preparing to Welcome Her Baby
In the days leading up to the tragedy, Angelina had reportedly shared an ultrasound image of her unborn son on social media. In the post dated September 25, she wrote, “Momma cant wait to hold you.”
Those words have taken on a devastating meaning following the shooting. Angelina had been preparing for the arrival of another child, but she and her two young children never had the chance to experience the future their family had anticipated.
Family members and loved ones are now mourning the loss of a young mother whose life ended just days before her expected delivery date.
### What Happened on Perry Street?
Erie police responded to the residence in the 700 block of Perry Street shortly before 5 p.m. Friday after receiving an alert about gunfire.
According to Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah, officers arrived and found two women who had been shot outside the home. Investigators later reviewed surveillance footage that appeared to show the women arriving in distress and attempting to get help before the gunman came outside and shot them.
Police said the suspected gunman then went back inside the residence. A SWAT team responded as officers worked to secure the scene and enter the home.
When officers eventually entered, they discovered additional victims inside, including two young children. Investigators said all the victims had died before officers arrived, and authorities reported no continuing threat to the public.
### Eight Victims and the Suspected Gunman Dead
Authorities confirmed that eight people were killed, with the suspected gunman bringing the total number of deaths to nine. The victims included two children, several adults, and a pregnant woman whose unborn baby also died.
Police identified the suspected shooter as a 45-year-old man who was related to seven of the victims. Investigators said he died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officials have not established a motive for the shooting and have said the investigation remains ongoing.
Although reports circulating among family members have identified the suspected gunman as Matthew Stone, authorities had not publicly confirmed that name in the reports reviewed for this article. It should therefore be treated as unconfirmed unless officials or reliable reporting verify it.
### Family Faces an Unimaginable Loss
The deaths have left relatives and loved ones grieving multiple family members at once. For Angelina’s family, the tragedy includes not only the loss of a 24-year-old mother and her two young children, but also the death of a baby who was expected to arrive within days.
A fundraiser has reportedly been organized to help cover funeral expenses. Anyone wishing to contribute should verify the fundraiser through the family or a trusted organizer before donating.
As investigators continue working to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting, the family is left to mourn lives lost in a tragedy that has deeply affected the Erie community.
**May Angelina, her children, her unborn son, and all the victims rest in peace. Our thoughts are with their loved ones as they face this devastating loss.**
