21-Year-Old Charged Following Fatal Shooting That Claimed Life of Damon Walker
Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have announced an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month in the Baltimore area.
Authorities confirmed that 21-year-old Deontay Studivant has been charged following the death of Damon Walker, also 21, who succumbed to gunshot injuries after seeking medical treatment at a local hospital.
Victim Arrived at Hospital With Critical Injuries
According to investigators, officers were notified at approximately 12:20 a.m. on May 6, 2026, after Walker arrived at an area hospital suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Despite medical efforts, Walker later died from his injuries on May 7, 2026.
The victim’s death prompted a homicide investigation led by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit.
Shooting Traced to Lakebrook Circle Area
During the investigation, detectives determined the shooting occurred in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle in the 21227 area.
Investigators processed the scene, collected evidence, and conducted interviews as they worked to identify those involved in the incident.
Police stated that preliminary findings indicate the shooting was an isolated event and there is currently no ongoing threat to the public.
Suspect Held Without Bail
Following the investigation, authorities charged Deontay Studivant in connection with the homicide.
Officials confirmed Studivant is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending further court proceedings.
