At approximately 8:55 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2026, troopers with the Virginia State Police and local emergency medical services responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision along Flat Rock Road, approximately a quarter-mile southeast of Shady Acres Lane in Augusta County, Virginia.
Investigating state troopers determined that Wood was operating a 2006 Boss Tryke when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road. The vehicle struck a tree and subsequently overturned.
