The Prince George’s County Police Department announced that detectives with the department’s Gun Crimes Unit have charged a man with 66 separate offenses following what investigators described as a violent crime spree that unfolded Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, the suspect is accused of being involved in a series of dangerous incidents that prompted a large-scale investigation by multiple law enforcement units. Officials say the alleged crimes involved violent acts that placed numerous individuals and the surrounding community at risk.
Detectives worked throughout the evening gathering evidence, reviewing surveillance footage, and interviewing witnesses before ultimately identifying and apprehending the suspect. Police have not yet released the full list of charges or detailed the exact sequence of events connected to the alleged spree.
Investigators stated that the charges include numerous serious felony offenses, and additional charges could still be possible as the investigation continues. Authorities also have not disclosed whether any victims suffered injuries during the incidents.
The Prince George’s County Police Department credited the rapid response of officers and investigators for helping bring the situation under control and preventing further violence.
