Brian Crowley Car Accident: Hanson Man Identified After Fatal Crash Sends Pickup Truck Into Home on High Street

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Hanson, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz and Hanson Police Chief Michael D. Casey.

Officials confirmed the driver as 58-year-old Brian Crowley of Hanson.

The crash took place at approximately 6:22 p.m. on Monday evening, when the homeowner at 481 High Street contacted Hanson Police and Fire after a pickup truck struck the front of the residence. Emergency crews responded to the scene and discovered a Chevrolet pickup truck that had rolled onto its driver’s side after crashing through a bay window at the front of the home.

According to officials, the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash. Responding firefighters and police officers found him unconscious and trapped inside the wreckage. Crews immediately began extrication efforts using hydraulic rescue tools in an attempt to safely remove him from the vehicle.

After an extensive rescue operation, the driver was successfully extricated and transported to Brockton Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding what may have caused the pickup truck to leave the roadway and crash into the residence. The incident remains under active investigation.

The investigation is being conducted by the Hanson Police Department, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section. Officials continue to examine evidence and work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
