The Robeson County community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 18-year-old LeAustin C. Scott of Lumberton, who tragically lost his life in a dirt bike crash overnight in Pembroke.
According to the Pembroke Police Department, officers were called to the 800 block of West Third Street following reports of a serious crash involving a dirt bike. Investigators say LeAustin was traveling westbound when he lost control of the dirt bike and struck a tree. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and attempted to provide aid, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
