Edmond Police have issued an arrest warrant and identified a suspect in connection with the mass shooting at Arcadia Lake that left one person dead and 22 others injured.
Authorities say the warrant has been filed for 18-year-old Jaylan Davis, also known as “3zzy.” Investigators reported that Davis was identified by multiple witnesses and victims in the aftermath of the shooting.
According to court documents, the violence reportedly stemmed from a gang-related dispute that escalated into gunfire. Police believe multiple weapons were used during the attack, including a Glock 9mm handgun and a rifle.
The shooting claimed the life of 18-year-old Avianna Smith-Gray, whose death has left the community grieving. In addition to her passing, 22 other individuals were injured, making the incident one of the most serious mass shootings the area has seen.
As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at Davis’ residence. During the search, investigators reportedly recovered rifle ammunition that matched spent casings found at the scene of the shooting, strengthening the evidence outlined in the arrest warrant.
Police continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are working to locate and take Davis into custody.
The case remains ongoing as authorities gather further information and urge anyone with additional details to come forward.
