The Tangipahoa Parish community is mourning the heartbreaking and tragic loss of 6-month-old Kaybri Robinson, whose life was cut short in a devastating crash on U.S. Highway 51 in Tickfaw on May 22, 2026.
According to Louisiana State Police Troop L, the crash occurred at approximately 11:50 p.m. when a 2013 Hyundai Elantra left the roadway and struck a culvert just south of LA Highway 1064. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, where multiple occupants were found injured inside the vehicle.
Despite emergency medical efforts and transport to a local hospital, baby Kaybri Robinson sadly passed away from injuries sustained in the crash.
Authorities confirmed that the infant was not properly restrained at the time of the collision. Investigators also reported that the crash involved additional unrestrained passengers and is believed to have been influenced by multiple contributing factors that remain under investigation.
