Authorities in Cincinnati are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon inside a bar in the Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood, leaving one man injured and another detained at the scene.

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, officers responded around 5 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the Somerset Bar on East McMicken Avenue. When police arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

Emergency medical crews transported the victim to the UC Medical Center for treatment. His current condition has not been publicly released.
Investigators say another male individual was taken into custody shortly after the shooting, and police are working to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. At this time, authorities have not confirmed whether the individuals involved knew each other or what may have triggered the altercation.

Crime scene units remained in the area for several hours documenting evidence inside and around the establishment, while detectives interviewed witnesses and reviewed available surveillance footage from nearby businesses.
Police have not indicated any ongoing threat to the public, and the investigation remains active as officials continue to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
