BROOKLYN, N.Y. — New York City police are investigating a tragic double homicide after two women were found fatally stabbed inside an apartment building in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred at 386 2nd Street, where officers responded shortly before 8 p.m. following a 911 call reporting an assaulted woman inside the residential building. Upon arrival, members of the New York City Police Department discovered a 59-year-old woman unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead at the location.
As officers continued their search of the residence, they made a second grim discovery. Inside the apartment, investigators found a 23-year-old woman who was also unconscious and unresponsive. Authorities said she had suffered multiple stab wounds and was likewise pronounced dead at the scene.
