A 37-year-old Manheim Borough woman was killed in what authorities have described as a domestic-related shooting, while the suspect sought in connection with her death was later found dead in Alabama.

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office identified the victim as Keshia M. Gonzalez, a resident of Manheim Borough. According to investigators, Gonzalez was discovered deceased inside a second-floor apartment located in the first block of North Main Street on Monday morning.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 7:30 a.m. following reports of gunfire from concerned neighbors. Upon arrival, officers found Gonzalez suffering from fatal gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities quickly identified 36-year-old Michael Anthony Boccia as the primary suspect in the homicide. Law enforcement agencies launched an extensive search and warned the public that Boccia was considered armed and dangerous.
Later, officials confirmed that Boccia had been located deceased in Alabama. Investigators believe he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, though authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding his death.
Manheim Borough Police and the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public. However, the investigation into both the homicide and Boccia’s death remains active.
The tragic incident has left family members, friends, and members of the Manheim Borough community mourning the loss of Gonzalez as authorities work to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting.
