A deadly stabbing at a Skyline Chili restaurant in Norwood on Tuesday afternoon has left one woman dead and prompted an active homicide investigation by the Norwood Police Department.
Authorities said officers were dispatched to the Skyline Chili location in the 4500 block of Montgomery Road at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 2 after reports of a stabbing inside the restaurant.
When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from severe stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel responded immediately and transported her to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim later died from her injuries.
Police have identified the victim as 26-year-old Ally Nicole Hill.
A suspect, identified as Rick Wright, was taken into custody near the scene shortly after the incident. Officials have not yet released further details regarding potential charges or the circumstances surrounding the attack, as the investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities said the incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators are continuing to determine what led up to the deadly encounter, including whether the victim and suspect were known to each other.
It has not yet been confirmed whether Hill was an employee at the restaurant or a customer at the time of the stabbing.
