Tyrondrick Dobbs Shooting News: Pine Bluff Man Fatally Shot After Argument on W. 23rd Avenue; Suspect Sought

On June 16, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers with the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive male at 1316 W. 23rd Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located a 37-year-old male, identified as Tyrondrick Dobbs, lying in the yard of the residence. Officers immediately secured the scene and requested emergency medical assistance.

Preliminary information gathered at the scene indicates that a witness heard an argument occurring outside the residence involving Dobbs and another male individual. The witness reported hearing a brief physical altercation followed by what sounded like a muffled gunshot. The witness then observed Dobbs lying unresponsive in the yard, while the second male had already fled the area prior to police arrival.

Emergency medical personnel with EASI Ambulance Service transported Dobbs to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where medical staff determined he had sustained a gunshot wound. Dobbs was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

This case is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify and locate the suspect involved.

At this time, the investigation remains in its early stages. No additional details are being released as investigators continue to gather evidence and conduct interviews.
