Sturbridge Hotel Incident Under Investigation After Vehicle Crashes Into Building and Shooting Reported

STURBRIDGE, Mass. —
A reported shooting at a Sturbridge, Massachusetts, hotel, where a vehicle crashed into the building early Thursday, is under investigation.

Police responded just before 1 a.m. to the Sturbridge Plaza Hotel at 400 Haynes St.

Video from the scene showed a vehicle crashing into the side of the building. A white sheet was seen hanging inside a first-floor hallway surrounded by yellow police tape.

It’s not clear if anyone was injured in the crash; however, the medical examiner responded to the scene.

Police said there is no threat to the public at this time.

This incident remains an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by the Massachusetts State Police, the Sturbridge Police Department and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
