Robert Noble Obituary: 66-Year-Old Trenton Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash at Telegraph and Newport Roads

Robert Noble Obituary, FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN — Robert Noble, a 66-year-old man from Trenton, Michigan, has died following a motorcycle crash involving a minivan at the intersection of South Telegraph Road and Newport Road in Monroe County on Tuesday morning, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m. when Noble was riding his motorcycle and turning from southbound South Telegraph Road onto westbound Newport Road. At the same time, a minivan traveling eastbound on Newport Road entered the intersection.

Investigators reported that the motorcycle and the minivan collided inside the intersection, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway as a result of the impact. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene and provided immediate assistance.

Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, Noble sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials confirmed. He was the sole fatality in the incident.

The driver of the minivan, a 34-year-old woman from Newport, Michigan, and a juvenile passenger were evaluated at the scene. They were initially released but later sought medical attention as a precaution. Authorities stated that neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported that alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the collision. The crash remains under active investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Services Division, which is reviewing the sequence of events leading up to the impact.
