Family, friends, former students, and the wider community are invited to celebrate the life and legacy of Kirsten McCarl, whose love of music, faith, and education touched countless lives.
Funeral services for Mrs. McCarl will be held Monday, July 13, at St. Vincent de Paul Parish Church in Federal Way. Church doors will open at 10:00 a.m., with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the parish hall, where loved ones will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the remarkable life she lived.
Known for her passion for music and dedication to her students, Kirsten inspired generations of young singers throughout her career. Whether teaching at Orting or St. Vincent de Paul School (STVS), she encouraged students to develop their talents while fostering confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
In a touching tribute to her enduring legacy, the McCarl family has invited former choir students from Orting and STVS to participate in the funeral mass by singing in her honor. Those wishing to join the choir are asked to contact Lainey McCarl by email at laineymccarl@gmail.com. Music will be distributed at least one week before the service to allow participants time to prepare.
The family welcomes all who knew and loved Kirsten to attend the service and share in remembering the joy, compassion, and inspiration she brought into the lives of so many. Her devotion to her family, faith, students, and community will continue to resonate through the music she shared and the countless lives she influenced.
As loved ones prepare to gather in celebration of her life, Kirsten McCarl will be remembered with deep love, gratitude, and admiration. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and music will continue to inspire future generations, ensuring that her memory lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
