The Somerset County Sheriff’s office is investigating a two-vehicle crash Monday in Moscow that killed one driver around 10:10 a.m.
The crash occurred in the area of 175 Canada Road, also known as U.S. Route 201, and killed Serge Poulin, 67, of Quebec, on impact.
Joshua Nugent, 37, was driving a tractor trailer, that usually carries tree-sized logs, northbound through heavy rain, Chief Michael Mitchell said. Nugent, who lives in the Somerset County town of Detroit, was driving around a corner when the trailer, which was empty, began hydroplaning into the southbound lane. The hydroplaning trailer collided with Poulin’s car, a red SUV.
