Authorities in Baltimore have announced the arrest of a 32-year-old man in connection with a Central District shooting investigation that left a 30-year-old victim wounded.

Investigators identified the suspect as Antonio Chase of Baltimore, who now faces multiple serious felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder.

Shooting Investigation Began Saturday Morning

According to the Baltimore Police Department, Central District patrol officers initially responded around 11:21 a.m. on May 10, 2026, to the 200 block of North Eutaw Street following reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a 30-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where officials stated the injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators Determined Shooting Occurred on Marion Street

During the preliminary investigation, detectives learned the victim had actually been shot in the 300 block of Marion Street before traveling to the North Eutaw Street area, where police were eventually notified.

Crime scene investigators began processing both locations while detectives worked to identify the suspect involved.

Suspect Arrested While Officers Continued Investigation

Police say that later that afternoon, around 1:37 p.m., officers working in the 100 block of North Eutaw Street encountered and arrested Antonio Chase while the investigation remained active.

Authorities reported that officers recovered a loaded handgun from Chase at the time of his arrest.

Multiple Charges Filed

Following his arrest, Chase was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was formally charged with:

Attempted first-degree murder
Assault
Multiple handgun-related violations

Officials have not yet released additional details regarding a possible motive behind the shooting.
