Investigators say a 35-year-old woman was driving a sedan westbound on Navajo Road with three child passengers, including Angelina, a one-year-old child, and an eight-year-old child. Authorities reported that the vehicle struck an 18-year-old pedestrian walking on the sidewalk.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 11:36 a.m. Paramedics provided aid at the scene, but Angelina Coronel was pronounced deceased at 11:53 a.m. due to her injuries.
Officials confirmed that the 18-year-old pedestrian was transported to a hospital with a concussion and a severe arm injury. The driver sustained a fractured ankle and was also hospitalized. The two younger children in the vehicle were not injured.
The San Diego Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash. No additional details have been released at this time.
The tragedy has left family, friends, and the San Diego community in deep mourning as they remember Angelina as a young life taken far too soon.
