Pastor Locke, founder of Global Vision Bible Church, announced the heartbreaking news in an emotional public statement shared on social media on May 8, 2026. In the statement, he revealed that his son “could not be revived after his heart stopped due to an overdose,” describing the moment as “the most earth-shattering news” their family had ever received.

According to reports, Evan Locke had faced a difficult and highly visible battle with addiction over several years.
