Friends and family are mourning Devan Nolet, 30, of Mansfield, who was killed in a tragic motorcycle crash on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Windham, Connecticut.
Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Route 32 in front of Apollo Pizza, where Troopers from Troop K and Windham EMS responded to reports of a serious collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle.
Investigators reported that a Ford Explorer, driven by 83-year-old Pedro Johnson of North Windham, was traveling northbound on Route 32 and was in the process of making a left turn into a commercial driveway when it entered the path of oncoming traffic.
At the same time, a Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle operated by Devan Nolet was traveling southbound when it struck the right front end of the Ford Explorer.
Authorities said Nolet was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact and struck a utility pole. Following the initial collision, the Ford Explorer continued forward and struck the rear of a parked vehicle.
Emergency responders transported Nolet to Windham Hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries. Despite all efforts by medical personnel, he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
No other serious injuries were reported in the crash. Police confirmed the incident remains under active investigation as they continue to review the circumstances surrounding the collision.
