A Town of Tonawanda man is facing a murder charge after police say his wife was found dead inside their home early Friday morning.
According to the Town of Tonawanda Police Department, officers were called to a residence on Cleveland Drive around 2:50 a.m. on May 16 for a reported first aid emergency. When responders arrived at the scene, they discovered 51-year-old Tiffany L. Malvaso deceased inside the home. Authorities said she appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma.
Following the initial investigation, police arrested her husband, 36-year-old Nicholas M. Malvaso, in connection with her death. He has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder.
Officials confirmed that Nicholas Malvaso is currently being held at the Erie County Holding Center without bail. He is scheduled to appear in court for a felony hearing on Thursday, May 21, in the Town of Tonawanda. If convicted, he faces a potential sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
Investigators have not released further details surrounding the circumstances leading up to the incident, and police stated that no additional information will be made public at this time as the investigation continues.
