Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred in the Wallacedene area, leaving one person dead and residents shaken by the violence.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders and police officers were called to the scene after reports of gunfire erupted in the community. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A large police presence was seen in the area as investigators secured the scene and began collecting evidence connected to the shooting. Detectives are currently working to determine what led up to the incident and whether the attack may have been targeted.
