For more than a decade, Joaquin Razo devoted himself wholeheartedly to serving the organization and the Sacramento community. His journey with United Way California Capital Region began as a staff member, where he played a key role in growing initiatives such as Women United and the Young Leaders Society. Over the years, his commitment and leadership continued to grow as he later served as a board member and most recently as Chair of the Board of Directors.

Those who worked alongside Joaquin remember him not simply for the positions he held, but for the extraordinary passion, vision, and purpose he brought to every effort. He believed deeply in Sacramento — its people, its future, and its potential — and dedicated himself to building a stronger and more equitable community where everyone could thrive.
