Beyond the field, Roy was also a longtime member of Atlantic City Barbell, where he spent more than a decade encouraging teammates, traveling to competitions, and volunteering at Special Olympics Powerlifting events. He was passionate about uplifting others and always showed up when people needed him most.

Friends and loved ones continue to share heartfelt tributes describing Roy as someone truly rare — a man with a heart of gold whose presence made the world feel brighter and more connected.
