Authorities in Greenville County are continuing to investigate a deeply tragic case that has now been officially ruled a homicide, following the death of 25-year-old Brykevious Santwan Williams.
According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, Williams was discovered suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle along Leacroft Drive in Greenville on May 16. Emergency responders rushed him to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where medical teams fought desperately to save his life. Despite their efforts, Williams was pronounced dead on May 22.
Officials later confirmed that his death has been ruled a homicide, adding another layer of sorrow and gravity to an already devastating case.
The heartbreaking news has left family members and loved ones shattered, struggling to process the sudden and violent loss of a young life taken far too soon. Those close to Williams are now left with grief, disbelief, and painful unanswered questions as they try to come to terms with what happened.
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office say the shooting is believed to be connected to an armed robbery that took place outside Club Fusion on East North Street. Authorities indicated the violence unfolded shortly after that incident, though the exact sequence of events remains under active and ongoing investigation.
Detectives continue to follow leads, review evidence, and speak with witnesses as they work to piece together the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting. No additional details about suspects or arrests have been released at this time.
