According to an update from the Lufkin Police Department, Tiffany Rutland was pronounced deceased following the tragic one-vehicle accident that occurred on U.S. 59 just south of Lufkin. Authorities responded to the scene around 9 a.m. after reports of a serious crash along the northbound lanes of U.S. 59 near the Pentecostal campground. The incident led to the closure of one northbound lane while first responders and law enforcement personnel worked diligently to secure the area and provide aid.
