The Statesboro community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 28-year-old Dalton Deaver, who tragically lost his life in a fatal single-vehicle crash late Thursday night in Bulloch County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on May 28, 2026, along Williams Road near Parkway Place Drive. Investigators said Dalton was driving a Mercury sedan westbound when the vehicle reportedly lost control, traveled off the roadway, and struck a tree. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed he was the only occupant inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Bulloch County Coroner Chuck Francis responded to the scene and later identified the victim as Dalton Deaver of Statesboro. Trooper First Class Keith McCarty with Georgia State Patrol Post 45 is leading the ongoing investigation into the collision.
