A 32-year-old man was fatally shot Friday in Stone Mountain, and authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the killing, according to DeKalb County police.
Officers responded to the 900 block of Redan Trail after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Shaquille Smalls, 32, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Smalls was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the shooting stemmed from an argument between Smalls and Deshawn Brown, 26. Police allege that the dispute escalated before Brown shot Smalls multiple times.
Brown was taken into custody and has been charged with murder in connection with the incident.
