According to Connecticut State Police, the fatal collision occurred at approximately 12:54 a.m. on Interstate 91 southbound, just beyond the Whitehead Highway on-ramp. Investigators said Upson was operating a Honda motorcycle when he entered the highway traveling in the wrong direction and collided with a vehicle traveling in the left lane.
