Marlon Robinson Obituary, VICKSBURG, MISS. — Marlon Robinson, a 37-year-old motorcyclist, has died following a collision involving a passenger vehicle in downtown Vicksburg, according to the Vicksburg Police Department. The fatal crash occurred on Monday, June 29, at the intersection of First North Street and Clay Street.

Authorities said officers responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. When police arrived at the scene, Robinson, who was operating the motorcycle, was found seriously injured as a result of the impact.

Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment at the scene before transporting Robinson to Merit Health River Region for further emergency care. Despite lifesaving efforts by hospital staff, he later succumbed to his injuries, officials confirmed.

The driver of the passenger vehicle has been identified as Laquita Smith. Police stated that Smith was taken to the Vicksburg Police Department as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
