The Falls Church, Virginia, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Charlotte Elizabeth Evans, who passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 11, following a courageous battle with osteosarcoma. A rising sixth-grade student at Grace Christian Academy in Annandale, Charlotte leaves behind a legacy of faith, courage, kindness, and a joyful spirit that touched countless lives.
From a young age, Charlotte embraced life with curiosity, compassion, and an incredible determination that inspired everyone around her. Despite the challenges she faced, she continued to show remarkable strength and resilience, approaching each day with hope, positivity, and a love for those around her.
Charlotte had a natural talent for creativity and learning. She excelled in mathematics and art, finding joy in building detailed LEGO creations, designing miniature houses, and creating clay projects with her beloved “Gigi.” Her imagination and artistic expression reflected her unique ability to see beauty and possibilities in the world around her.
Beyond her creativity, Charlotte found happiness in nature and animals. She shared a special bond with a retired pony named Kane and treasured visits to her grandparents’ farm in Appomattox. There, she enjoyed feeding baby lambs, gathering fresh eggs, and spending time with the family dogs. These moments brought her great happiness and reflected her gentle, caring nature.
Charlotte was also known for her deep faith and the warmth she showed toward others. Her kindness, determination, and ability to bring joy during difficult moments made a lasting impression on her family, classmates, teachers, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
