Missing Wichita man found dead in single-vehicle crash, WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A missing man from Wichita was found dead on Tuesday evening.

The Wichita Police Department had asked the community for help finding 23-year-old Bryce Wilks on Tuesday.

Police were searching for him near the intersection of 37th Street North and Hoover Road in northwest Wichita. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said that investigators were led to the area through cell phone technology.

At 6:10 p.m., officers found a crashed vehicle with Wilks inside.

Investigation shows that Wilks was headed east on 37th Street North when he lost control and hit multiple trees. He died at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
