Chuck had the honor of making the first flight of the Shannon Air Museum’s Piper Cub after the aircraft had spent more than four decades suspended from the ceiling of Richmond’s aviation museum. He also became the first pilot to fly the museum’s meticulously restored 1930 Fleet Model 1, helping return another historic aircraft to the skies where it belonged.
