Craven County Crime Stoppers and the New Bern Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance in the investigation into the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Khalil Grant.
According to investigators, Grant was fatally shot on May 23 in the area of McKinley Avenue and Charles Street in New Bern, North Carolina. Authorities believe the shooting may have been gang-related, though investigators have not released all details surrounding the circumstances of the incident.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the shooting, saw suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident, or may have information about those involved to come forward. Even information that may seem insignificant could help investigators piece together what happened and identify those responsible.
Craven County Crime Stoppers is also asking community members with information to submit tips. Individuals who provide information may be eligible for a reward, and Crime Stoppers generally allows tips to be submitted anonymously.
