Emily Nichole Turner Obituary: 26-Year-Old Jamesport, Missouri Woman Dies in Iowa as Family and Friends Mourn
Emily Nichole Turner, 26, of Jamesport, Missouri, passed away on Saturday night, August 8, 2026, in Iowa, leaving her family, friends, and community mourning the loss of a young woman remembered for her free spirit, loyalty, and love for those around her.
Born on December 6, 1999, in Trenton, Missouri, Emily was the daughter of Jackie Eugene and Brenda Sue (McLaughlin) Turner. She was a lifelong resident of Jamesport and graduated from Tri-County High School in 2018.
Emily worked as a weatherization crew leader at Green Hills Community Action Agency and was taking classes to become an energy auditor. She also worked part-time at the Galt Cafe.
Outside of work, Emily had a strong passion for the outdoors and motorsports. She enjoyed riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes, fishing, wood burning, and racing dirt track. She was particularly passionate about Friday night racing at US 36 Raceway, where she was reportedly second in points at the time of her passing.
Her family remembered Emily as someone who was deeply loyal and loving. She cherished her parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and was known for seeing the best in people.
Emily’s death has left a significant void among those closest to her. Family and friends are now holding onto memories of her adventurous personality, generosity, and the many moments they shared.
Emily Turner Funeral Arrangements
A visitation was scheduled for Thursday, August 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the A.V. Spillman Event Center. A celebration of Emily’s life is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, August 14, at the same location, followed by burial at Jamesport Masonic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Emily Turner Memorial Fund at BTC Bank in care of the funeral home.
Emily Nichole Turner will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Her adventurous spirit, loyalty, love for her family, and passion for life will remain part of the lasting memory she leaves behind.
