Logan Connor Edmondson Obituary, Cantonment FL: Tate High School Graduate Remembered for Music, Cooking and Curious Spirit Before Tragic Death at 22
CANTONMENT, Fla. — The Cantonment community is mourning the passing of Logan Connor Edmondson, a young man whose life was marked by music, curiosity, creativity, hard work and a deep connection to his family and friends. Logan passed away on August 10, 2026, just one day before his 23rd birthday, leaving behind loved ones who are now holding onto the memories of a life that, although brief, made a lasting impression.
Born on August 11, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida, Logan grew up to become a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. Those closest to him remember a young man who brought laughter and personality into the lives of the people around him.
Logan was a 2021 graduate of J.M. Tate High School, where he became part of the school’s Showband of the South. As a tenor saxophone player, he shared his musical talents with fellow students and became part of a community built around music, friendship and school spirit.
His love of music extended beyond his years in school. Logan had an appreciation for classic country and rock music, sounds that reflected his personality and his appreciation for the past. Music was among the interests that helped define him and provided countless moments of enjoyment throughout his life.
After graduating from high school, Logan worked at McGuire’s Irish Pub, where he developed another passion: cooking. His obituary recalled his enthusiasm for preparing steaks, with each attempt becoming an opportunity to improve his skills. Cooking became another way for Logan to explore his creativity while enjoying the satisfaction of making something with his own hands.
He later worked in area two distributions at Ascend and also served with the company’s fire department. Through his work, Logan demonstrated a willingness to learn, contribute and take on different responsibilities.
Those who knew him remembered Logan as an old soul who appreciated simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, reading, exploring history and tinkering with things. His curiosity was one of his defining qualities. He liked understanding how things worked and often enjoyed finding ways to make them work better.
That inquisitive nature reflected a young man who was not content simply to accept things as they were. Logan enjoyed discovering, experimenting and learning, qualities that made him memorable to those who shared experiences with him.
Family remained at the heart of Logan’s life. He is survived by his parents, Tim and Angie Edmondson; his sister, Lydia Edmondson; maternal grandparents Sharon and Malcolm Nelson, Larry Spinks and Sandra Jackson; paternal grandparents Bob and Kathy Edmondson; special aunt Missy “Dot” Craig; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Kevin Spinks.
For his family, the pain of losing Logan so close to his 23rd birthday is especially difficult. The future held many possibilities for a young man with his interests, talents and curiosity, making his passing an especially heartbreaking loss.
Yet those who loved Logan can continue to celebrate the things that made him unique. They can remember the sound of his tenor saxophone, his enthusiasm for music, his attempts in the kitchen, his love of the outdoors and the countless conversations and moments shared with him.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory – North in Cantonment. A service will follow from 1 to 2 p.m. Logan’s final resting place is listed as Highland/Aldersgate Church Cemetery in Molino, Florida.
Memorial services provide families with an opportunity not only to mourn but also to gather around the memories of the person they loved. For Logan’s family and friends, the gathering will offer a chance to share stories, offer comfort and honor the young man whose presence meant so much to them.
Logan Connor Edmondson’s life may have been far too short, but the memories he created will remain with the people who knew him. His love of music, cooking, history, nature and learning will continue to form part of the story his family tells about him.
