Two Women Hospitalized After Serious Head-On Crash on Old Bar Road
A serious head-on collision on Old Bar Road at Pampoolah has prompted an emergency response, with two women taken to hospital following the crash.
Emergency services were called to Old Bar Road, near Redbank Cemetery between Taree and Old Bar, at approximately 10:38 a.m. Monday after reports of a serious two-vehicle collision.
The crash caused significant disruption in the area as emergency crews worked to assist those involved and manage the scene.
An 85-year-old woman was reportedly trapped inside one of the vehicles following the collision. Emergency responders worked to free her from the damaged vehicle before she was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle for further medical treatment.
A second woman was also taken to the hospital following the crash. The full extent of her injuries was not immediately provided.
Authorities and emergency personnel remained at the scene as they worked to respond to the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
