Victoria Schweitzer Obituary-Car Accident: Victoria Schweitzer, 19, Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Auglaize County
The Deshler, Ohio, community is mourning the tragic loss of Victoria Schweitzer, 19, who was killed Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Auglaize County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 65 and Santa Fe New Knoxville Road.
Authorities said a 2018 Dodge Charger, driven by Benjamin Pruyn, 26, of Marysville, was traveling east on Santa Fe-New Knoxville Road when it allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign.
The Charger then collided with a northbound 2021 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Victoria.
The force of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway, with the vehicles coming to rest in separate cornfields.
Victoria suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to authorities.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation as officials work to determine the full sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.
