Cornelius Leray Dixon and Jamari Dixon Obituary-Car Accident: Cornelius Leray Dixon, 56, and Son Jamari Dixon, 22, Killed in I-65 Crash
With broken hearts, family and loved ones are mourning the tragic loss of Cornelius Leray Dixon, 56, and his son, Jamari Tre’vionne Dixon, 22, both of Birmingham, Alabama, who died after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 65 late Sunday night.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 11:42 p.m. Sunday on northbound I-65 between Finley Boulevard and 32nd Avenue North.
Authorities said Cornelius and Jamari were walking along the interstate when they were struck by a vehicle. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to both men.
Cornelius and Jamari were pronounced dead at the scene, leaving family members, friends, and loved ones facing the heartbreaking loss of a father and son.
