With heavy hearts, family and friends are mourning the tragic loss of Trevor Cyrus, 27, of Huntington, whose life was cut short following an early-morning motorcycle crash on Jefferson Avenue.
According to the Huntington Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 1:58 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2026, in the 1600 block of Jefferson Avenue.
Authorities said officers responded after the incident was reported and determined that Cyrus, who was riding a motorcycle, appeared to have struck a parked vehicle. The initial emergency call was received by Cabell County 911 Dispatch, and Huntington Police officers and Cabell County EMS responded to the scene.
Despite emergency response efforts, Trevor Cyrus was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the crash, the 1600 block of Jefferson Avenue was closed as authorities worked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and manage the scene.
