It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Matt Brock this past Friday night. To many in our community, Matt was known affectionately by his nickname, “Farmer.”
Matt was a cornerstone of the Xerocraft organization, serving as one of our most dedicated core volunteers. As the manager of our front desk and volunteer tasks, he was the steady hand that kept our daily operations running smoothly. If you visited us on a Saturday afternoon, you almost certainly encountered Matt; he was a constant, welcoming presence overseeing our tours and ensuring every visitor felt at home.
Beyond his logistical contributions, Farmer was, quite simply, an incredible person. He possessed a rare spirit of selflessness, characterized by an endless willingness to help others and a desire to volunteer even more time whenever it was needed. Few individuals worked as tirelessly or with as much heart for our organization as Matt did. His dedication helped shape the community we enjoy today.
Matt’s passing leaves a void that will be felt deeply and for a long time. He was more than just a volunteer; he was a friend to many at Xerocraft and a beloved figure at the Steinfeld Warehouse.
