Police later arrested 38-year-old Hugh Earp Milner Jr. in connection with the shooting. Milner faces charges including first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle. The charges are allegations, and the case remains under investigation.
According to police, the incident began after a ShotSpotter alert was received shortly after midnight. As officers responded, Moore was taken to a local fire station with a gunshot wound before being transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died.
