Ivy Thomson Obituary-Car Accident: Family and Friends Mourn the Loss of Ivy Thomson who Dies in Car Accident
With broken hearts, we remember Ivy Thomson, 25, of Lovell, Maine, whose life was tragically cut short in a fatal head-on collision on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
According to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 11:45 a.m. to a crash in the 600 block of Main Street involving a black SUV and a maroon pickup truck. Ivy was driving the SUV when the two vehicles collided. Tragically, she died at the scene.
The pickup truck was driven by a 66-year-old man from Andover, who suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Maine Medical Center for emergency treatment.
Ivy’s sudden passing at just 25 years old is a heartbreaking tragedy. Her family, friends, and loved ones are left to face the pain of losing someone whose life ended far too soon. Although words cannot take away their sorrow, may they find comfort in the memories they hold dear and strength in the love surrounding them.
No charges have been announced in connection with the collision. Authorities confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing and may take some time to complete.
